The company also secured its first autonomous vehicle operation license in the UAE. Officials stated this cements ZELOS' strategic position in the Middle East. It signals that Chinese L4 autonomous driving technology has achieved regulatory compliance and real-world deployment in the Gulf region.
Founded in August 2021, ZELOS introduced the world's first mid-to-large autonomous truck for urban roads. This effectively pioneered the L4 RoboVan sector.
ZELOS currently operates over 16,000 RoboVans globally. The Metal Park project marks the start of its deep involvement in the Middle East's industrial modernization. Supported by the new license, ZELOS plans to refine its technology. It will collaborate with local partners to deploy RoboVans in postal, warehousing, and urban delivery sectors.
ZELOS is expanding its global footprint. On January 21, the company announced a strategic partnership in Kuala Lumpur with Pos Malaysia Berhad and Autonomous Logistic Solutions Sdn. Bhd. They will launch Malaysia's first autonomous vehicle proof-of-concept project. ZELOS also obtained Singapore's first autonomous logistics vehicle license in 2025. This establishes it as a key player in the city-state's smart logistics sector.
