Zhengzhou Nissan's 2nd plant to start production in Sept

Shanghai, June 9 (Gasgoo.com) The Beijing News reported today that the production line in the second plant of Zhengzhou Nissan will start production of vehicles on 6th September.

According to the report, the first models to be produced at the new plant will be Nissan's two SUV: X-trail and Qashqai, to be followed by the brand new mini-bus SV40, which will come into the market on 18th June.

Zhengzhou Nissan's second plant is a new factory with an investment of 1 billion yuan ($147 million), funded by the listed company "Dongfeng Auto" and Nissan China. It was designed and planned in accordance with Nissan's global standard.

The annual production capacity of the first phase will be 12 million vehicles and will reach 20 million units in the second phase.

"The second plant has begun its production line debugging in June and the fine-tuning will finish by the end of next month. It will go into operation on 6th September," said Guo Zhenfu, general manager of Zhengzhou Nissan in an interview.
