Gasgoo Munich- Black Sesame Technologies and the robotics company Striding. AI signed a strategic cooperation agreement on July 29, aiming to combine edge AI computing with embodied intelligence software. The partnership will cover technology localization, algorithm adaptation, real-world deployment and overseas commercialization, as the two companies seek to move robotic systems beyond development projects and into larger-scale industrial and commercial use.

Under the agreement, Black Sesame Technologies will provide its SesameX robotics computing platforms and associated development tools. Striding. AI will work with the chipmaker and other ecosystem partners to adapt algorithms and develop application-specific robotic solutions.

The companies also plan to jointly identify commercially viable use cases and take their combined solutions to international markets. No deployment targets, investment figures or timetable were disclosed.

Black Sesame Technologies is extending technology originally developed for automotive-grade AI chips into robotics. Its SesameX computing platform comprises the Kalos, Aura and Liora modules, which are designed for products ranging from low-speed wheeled and legged robots to humanoid systems.

The company said it has established robotics partnerships with dozens of companies, including COSCO SHIPPING, Lenovo and Joyson Electronics. Its expansion into robotics reflects a broader effort among automotive chip suppliers to apply vehicle-grade computing, safety and mass-production expertise to embodied AI.

Striding. AI develops what it describes as a full-stack Physical AI architecture integrating data, foundation models and infrastructure. Its technology is intended to translate multimodal perception into robotic actions and allow machines to perform tasks in settings such as retail, manufacturing, warehousing and hospitality.

The company is pursuing real-world commercial and industrial deployments with partners including CP Group and Huaqin Technology. Its development strategy centers on connecting perception, planning, execution and operational feedback so robotic systems can improve through experience.

For Black Sesame Technologies, the agreement adds an algorithm and deployment partner to its growing embodied AI ecosystem. The company plans to make more of its edge-computing capabilities available to robotics developers, while Striding. AI will contribute its Physical AI models and experience in adapting robots for operational environments.

The partnership's commercial impact will ultimately depend on whether the companies can turn the planned integration into repeatable deployments—a central challenge for an embodied AI industry seeking to progress from demonstrations to economically sustainable operations.
