Test data shows the technology boosts warehouse storage and retrieval efficiency by 100%, with the robot capable of scaling a five-story-high shelf in just 10 seconds.

Cainiao's ZeeBot is a specialized robot with a flexible structure, designed specifically for warehouse environments. It breaks the traditional silo between ground transport and vertical storage in automated warehouses, allowing a single unit to move at high speed across the floor and climb directly onto shelves for storage and retrieval.

According to data released by Cainiao, climbing robot warehouses offer significant advantages over other automated facilities. The robots move faster, reaching 4 meters per second on flat ground, and can scale a five-story shelf in 10 seconds. They also deliver higher storage density, boosting space utilization by 40%, while a modular design and improved deployment efficiency give the warehouse greater scalability.
