Gasgoo Munich-On July 31 that Chongqing Changan Automobile Co., Ltd. announced a reshuffle in its executive management: Executive Vice President Peng Tao has stepped down from all posts.
An official filing with the Shenzhen Stock Exchange attributes the departure to a job transfer. Peng is vacating the executive vice president role and will not retain any other management positions at the automaker. The notice states he is being reassigned, though it did not specify the new company or role.
Complying with disclosure requirements, the filing detailed Peng’s equity holdings: as of the announcement, he held 272,812 A-shares in the company.

The board of directors commended Peng for his dedication and performance during his tenure, thanking him for his contributions to the company's operations. The statement remained restrained and objective, offering no further explanation for the personnel change and naming no successor.
The exit follows a management expansion in June, when Changan appointed Chen Zhuo and Di Zhirui as vice presidents to refine its executive structure. Peng’s departure appears to be a routine rotation. As domestic automakers accelerate their transition to new energy vehicles and expand globally, executive reshuffles are becoming increasingly common to align with broader corporate strategy. To date, Changan has not disclosed plans for a successor or further details about Peng’s new role.
