Seeds | Astribot Completes Over 1 Billion Yuan Series B Financing Round

Edited by Taylor From Gasgoo

Gasgoo Munich-Astribot, a cable-driven AI robotics company, has recently closed a Series B funding round, raising more than 1 billion yuan. Investors include the Liangxi Sci-Tech Innovation Phase II Parent Fund (managed by Bohua Capital), Yangzhou Longtou Chiplet, Zhongbo Juli, ThunderSoft, Kede Education, a major listed company, and Guoke Investment.

This latest round pushes Astribot’s valuation past the 10 billion yuan mark.

Founded in 2022, the company focuses on complex physical interaction scenarios, aiming to build cable-driven AI robots with high versatility and generalization capabilities.

To achieve this, Astribot adheres to a "Design for AI" software-hardware integrated architecture and a full-stack self-developed roadmap spanning "top-tier hardware — leading teleoperation (data) — efficient models." Its unique cable-drive transmission mimics human tendon movement and force control, endowing the robots with high dexterity, anthropomorphic expressiveness, and interaction safety—making them particularly suitable for complex dexterous tasks and close human interaction.

Furthermore, in 2025, Astribot successively launched its self-developed strong reasoning foundation model, Lumo-1, and the DuoCore fast-slow system model, which has been deployed in real-world retail scenarios across China. These moves aim to build an AI technology system centered on embodied models, further enhancing task execution efficiency and stability in complex environments.

Currently, Astribot’s fully self-developed S1 cable-driven AI robot has been deployed across research, commercial services, entertainment, and industrial sectors. By combining large AI models with specific scenario exploration, the company is accelerating industry adoption and commercialization.

Building on this, Astribot recently unveiled a new series of cable-driven AI robots—the Astribot T1. With a starting price of 89,900 yuan, it is the first high-precision robot to break into the sub-90,000 yuan price range.

The Astribot T1 continues the cable-drive approach, achieving high anthropomorphism in core metrics like precision, speed, and dexterity. It boasts operational advantages—high dexterity, expressiveness, and interaction safety—that traditional rigid robots struggle to combine.

Specifically, the Astribot T1 stands 1.53 meters tall with a chassis size of 0.55 by 0.56 meters. It is nearly 25 kg lighter than the S1 and features 23 degrees of freedom (excluding end-effectors), with a single-arm payload of 5 kg. It offers rich interfaces supporting swappable end-effectors and compute backpacks. For recharging, the T1 takes less than an hour, capable of long continuous operation and seamless switching between scenarios. It supports task development and deployment across a vast range of environments, including homes, commercial spaces, research facilities, entertainment venues, and industrial sites.
