Gasgoo Munich- Unitree Robotics announced on August 12 that cumulative production of its bionic bipedal humanoid robots has reached approximately 18,000 units. This figure excludes other humanoid-like robots or wheeled chassis products.
The company has been accelerating humanoid robot output throughout the year. In June, Unitree announced that cumulative production of its mass-market G1 model surpassed 11,000 units, compared to 6,500 units for the full year of 2025. This surge marks a shift from small-scale pilot production to stable mass production.

Notably, Unitree is currently pursuing an IPO on the STAR Market. It plans to raise 6.1 billion yuan to fund four major projects: intelligent robot model R&D, robot body development, new product creation, and the construction of a manufacturing base.
On the capacity front, Unitree aims to expand output through its "Intelligent Robot Manufacturing Base Construction Project." Planned for a two-year build, the facility is designed for an annual capacity of 190,000 units—split between 75,000 humanoid robots and 115,000 quadruped robots.
Since launching its first humanoid robot, the H1, in 2023, Unitree has built a comprehensive portfolio covering quadrupeds (Go, A, and B series) and humanoids (H, G, and R series). It has also expanded into key components like dexterous hands, collaborative arms, and lidar. This creates a product matrix centered on "mobility, manipulation, and interaction," serving customers across academic research, tourism, and industrial pilot programs.
Data from market firm SAG shows global shipments of humanoid robots totaled approximately 19,100 units in the first half of 2026. Chinese manufacturers captured over 97% of the market. Unitree alone shipped 5,900 units during the period, capturing 31% of the global market and solidifying its leading position.
