Welling Parts Launches New Generation of Joint Module Series

Gasgoo Munich - Gasgoo has learned that Welling Parts recently rolled out a new series of high-precision joint modules. Designed as highly integrated core motion units for humanoid robots, the lineup spans two key technological paths: harmonic and planetary drives.

The harmonic joint modules utilize an integrated design, combining a high-power-density frameless torque motor, servo drive, harmonic reducer, and encoder into a single unit. The current HBN series covers diameters from 70mm to 142mm, with rated torque ranging from 10Nm to 178Nm, while the HLN series spans 40mm to 130mm, offering torque from 3.5Nm to 178Nm. Beyond existing models, the company is developing both smaller units (62mm diameter, 5Nm torque) and larger specifications (170mm diameter, 382Nm torque). Characterized by high precision, reliability, and power density, the series supports hybrid force-position control and comes equipped with a graphical debugging interface.

Similarly, the planetary joint modules feature a highly integrated mechatronic design that incorporates a frameless torque motor, driver, high-rigidity planetary reducer, and encoder. The PHN series offers outer diameters between 50mm and 88mm, with rated torque of 6Nm to 50Nm; the PDN series covers 105mm to 126mm, delivering torque from 28Nm to 115.5Nm. Focusing on structural rigidity and versatility across scenarios, this series provides clients with either standard full-set solutions or customized designs.

Welling Parts has already built a core technology portfolio in precision reducers, servo motors, and complete joint modules, with select products previously entering the supply chains of leading global robot manufacturers. The mass production and ongoing development of these new series further bolster the company's product coverage and customization capabilities within the humanoid robot actuator sector.
