Shanghai, July 20 (Gasgoo.com) Great Wall Motor sold 91,000 vehicles in the first half of this year and its domestic sales more than doubled by 110% in the period, xinhuanet.com said today.

An insider of the company said that the three Great Wall vehicle categories (pickup, SUV and sedan) have enriched its product lineups and boosted its sales significantly.

In the first six months, Great Wall Motor retained its lead in China's pickup truck market, with about 30% market share. Its new low-emission SUV and state-of-the-art engine SUV have been well received in the market and achieved top sales as Chinese-brand SUV models.

The Great Wall's Florid, Coolbear and other sedan models sold more than 8,000 units each month, bringing the SUV company into the first league of Chinese sedan makers.

Great Wall Motor aims for sales of 200,000 vehicles in the full year of 2009. In the second half, the company will launch several new models, such as the all-new low-emission sedan, small SUV, high-performance pickup, as well as many sedan "Cross" models.
