Great Wall to officially begin using new Haval SUV logo next April
Gasgoo.com (Shanghai August 18) - Great Wall will officially unveil a new logo for its Haval series of SUVs next April, china.com.cn reported today. The news was confirmed by Deputy General Manager Shang Yugui.
The manufacturer has previously discussed the idea of changing logos and revising model names for its three major brands: Haval SUVs, Voleex sedans and Wingle pickup trucks. However, this plan was supposedly not implemented at the time due to the implications it would have on the structure of Great Wall's sales network.
Great Wall sold 49,600 vehicles in July, equivalent to year-on-year growth of 67.9 percent. Haval SUVs remained the manufacturer's best selling series, with a total of 25,500 SUVs sold. Sedan and Wingle pickup truck sales last month totaled 13,200 units and 10,900 units, respectively. The manufacturer's automobile exports last month exceeded 10,900 units.
Great Wall has sold 329,000 vehicles from January to July. The result is 22.8 percent higher than the amount it sold in the first seven months of 2011.
