Auto safety system maker U.S. TRW Automotive announced that: its subsidiary companies in China are further improving the application of Electronic Stability Control (ESC) for local suppliers and customers worldwide.

ESC technology is effective in reducing traffic accidents and passengers' casualties, whose importance is drawing more and more attention. TRW's wholly-owned venture named TRW Automotive Parts (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. (TACS) is strongly carrying out a long-term plan to raise the level of domestic ESC.

Kevin Elgood, Asia Pacific Chief Engineer of TRW said: "manufacturers begin to adopt ESC as more and more understanding and recognition of this technology to enhance safety and comfort. As a supplier, currently TRW provides ESC system for nearly 40 vehicle manufacturers in the world, and China's auto market is the fastest."

Gary Dubberley who is responsible for the development all ESC projects in the Asia-Pacific region said: "ESC application in China-made vehicles also showed an upward trend. This includes local digestion, and the car export. How to enable vehicles to meet international safety standards is extremely important for China local manufacturers."
