Shanghai Maple to be separated into six entities

Recently, Shanghai Maple Auto, affiliated to Geely Holdings, was separated into 6 entities responsible for own profit after the reform by Geely Hodings.

The 6 entities are as follows: two complete-vehicle manufacturing bases: Shanghai Maple Auto and Shanghai Yinglundihua Company (referred to as "Yinglundihua ") who aims at mid & high-class car market, and its main product is the high-class sedan made together with LTI Vehicles; one engine company, two sales companies: Shanghai Maple Sales Company and Shanghai Maple International sales Co., Ltd., and one automobile research institute. Xu Gang, former chairman of the Shanghai Maple who is the VP of the Geely Group currently, remains in charge of these 6 entities.

In 2006, the total sales volume of Shanghai Maple is about 28,000 units, an increase of more than 10 percentage; its overseas sales is 2,675 units, an increase of 236.05 percentage over the corresponding period of last year.
