Sales of SGMW’s Wuling Asta SUV hit 10,000 units in less than one month
Shanghai (Gasgoo)- The total sales of the Wuling Asta (dubbed “Xingchen” in Chinese), the first strategic SUV model bearing Wuling brand’s global silver badge, topped 10,000 units as of October 12, only 26 days after the model hit the market, SAIC-GM-Wuling (SGMW) announced on Tuesday.

As of now, SGMW has received over 18,000 orders of the Wuling Asta SUV, indicating the popularity of the compact SUV.
Unveiled at the Auto Shanghai 2021, the Asta is Wuling brand's second new-era model following the Victory. Offered in five trim levels, the model is priced between 69,800 yuan ($10,820) and 99,800 yuan ($15,470).
It sports a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine that pumps out 147PS and 250 N·m of peak torque. The entry-level versions feature a six-speed manual transmission, while upscale trims get a CVT allowing the Asta to zip from 0-100 km/h in 10.6 seconds.

The Asta is the first model to carry the Wuling Ling OS smart car system that promises to maximize connectivity and launch an ecosystem of integrated applications. A generous 10.25-inch floating touchscreen adds a technology sense to the vehicle.
