Huawei-powered ARCFOX αS HI kicks off mass delivery

Beijing (Gasgoo)- The new Huawei technology-powered ARCFOX αS HI kicked off large-scale delivery at its Bluepark Magna production base in Zhenjiang, Jiangsu Province, on July 16th.

The αS HI is the first mass-produced vehicle model equipped with Huawei’s full-fledged Huawei Inside smart automotive solution across the world. This ARCFOX model is also the first mass-production model that supports urban ADAS system as well as the first electric luxury sedan equipped with the Harmony OS smart cockpit.

The αS HI integrates BAIC BJEV’s fully redundant BE21 platform and Huawei’s ICT technology. The vehicle is mounted with 34 high perception hardware, including 3 pieces of HUAWEI’s 96-beam auto-grade LiDARs, 6 millimeter-wave radars, 12 ultrasonic radars, and 13 cameras. The αS HI adopts Huawei’s exclusive chip with 400TOPS of computing power. 

The car is deployed with an 800V high-voltage platform, providing a maximum charging power of 187kW. To interpret, the αS HI can run roughly 200km with a ten-minute charging session. The platform takes only 15 minutes to charge from 30% to 80%.

“Delivery is merely a start of something more,” said Wang Jun, COO of Huawei’s Intelligent Automotive Solution Business Unit, “the vehicle will be upgraded with more high-level functions via OTA updates.” For example, the vehicle will be enabled with ICA, NCA, and AVP functions. 

ARCFOX disclosed that the company will construct and put 84 supercharging stations to work in five major cities in 2022.
