Tesla Shanghai Gigafactory’s Sept. delivery surpasses 830,000 vehicles
Beijing (Gasgoo)- Tesla’s Shanghai Gigafactory delivered over 83,000 vehicles in September 2022, setting a new monthly delivery record, according to an interview by Cui Dongshu, the secretary-general of the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA).

According to the interview, China’s new energy vehicle retail volume is expected to reach 590,000 vehicles in September. The secretary-general believed that the internal contributors to the recent strong retail sales are the previous demands unleashing and policy stimulus. In addition, the improvement of the supply of new energy vehicles and the rocketing price of gasoline also drove the order volume of electric vehicles in the country.
Besides, Tesla also orchestrated a promotion that a consumer who orders and receives a made-in-China Model 3 or Model Y (unlicensed vehicle) between October 8, 2022 (inclusive) and December 31, 2022 (inclusive), and purchases the corresponding car insurance through Tesla's cooperative insurance agency, is entitled to a 7,000-yuan insurance subsidy.
Moreover, purchases of some models are also eligible to enjoy some cooperative financial institutions’ financial payment plans including discounted interest rate of zero down payment lease.
