Beijing Mercedes-Benz Sales Service appoints new president & CEO
Beijing (Gasgoo)- Beijing Mercedes-Benz Sales Service Co. Ltd. announced on Tuesday a major personnel appointment. Jan Madeja, the company's President and CEO, will be stepping down from his nearly four-year tenure in the Chinese market and returning to Mercedes’ German headquarters for a new position.

Meanwhile, Duan Jianjun, the current Sales Chief Operating Officer of the company will take over as President and CEO of Beijing Mercedes-Benz Sales Service Co. Ltd. These appointments will officially take effect on May 1, 2023.
Jan Madeja joined Mercedes-Benz Group AG (former Daimler AG) in 1992 and has held senior management positions in multiple functional departments within the group. He has also served as CEO and President of Mercedes-Benz in several important regional markets. In 2019, Jan Madeja became the CEO and President of Mercedes-Benz Sales Service Beijing Co. Ltd., responsible for the operation of Mercedes-Benz's passenger vehicle brands in China.
With his outstanding leadership, rich management experience, and keen business insights, Jan Madeja led his team to work closely with all dealer partners, focusing on luxury brand positioning, actively promoting electrification, accelerating digital innovation, strengthening customer service systems, and continuously consolidating Mercedes-Benz's leading position in the luxury car segment of the Chinese market.

On the other hand, Duan Jianjun, the upcoming leader of Beijing Mercedes-Benz Sales Service Co. Ltd., holds nearly 30 years of experience in the automotive industry and has held senior management positions in several multinational companies, accumulating rich management experience in sales management, brand operation, marketing, and after-sales services.
