Geely Holding inks strategic framework agreement with Chongqing

Beijing (Gasgoo)- On June 21, Zhejiang Geely Holding Group (Geely Holding) and the Chongqing Municipal People's Government signed a strategic framework agreement.

According to the agreement, Chongqing and Geely Holding will focus on building a world-class intelligent connected new energy vehicle industry cluster, further deepening strategic cooperation in areas such as new energy ecosystem construction, new energy vehicle manufacturing, financial technology, industrial internet digital platforms, and the automotive aftermarket business ecosystem, aiming for mutually beneficial development.

Chongqing boasts outstanding geographical advantages and holds strategic importance, with enormous potential for future growth. Currently, the city is fully promoting the construction of the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle and the Western Land-Sea Trade Corridor, among other national strategic initiatives. 

The automotive industry in Chongqing has a solid foundation. The city is actively embracing the intelligent, connected, and new energy vehicle industry, and accelerating the creation of a trillion-level industrial cluster to inject strong impetus into Chongqing's position in the national economic landscape. 

Li Shufu, Chairman of Geely Holding, provided an overview of the company’s progress and projects in Chongqing. He stated that Geely Holding attaches great importance to the cooperation with Chongqing, and the agreement signing lays a solid foundation for further deepening the partnership.
