Great Wall Motor partners with Inchcape for expansion in Indonesian Market

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Great Wall Motors (GWM), a leading Chinese automaker, entered into a strategic global partnership with Inchcape, one of the world's largest automotive distributors, on June 30.

The collaboration will focus initially on the Indonesian market and aims to extend its reach across Asia Pacific, Latin America, Europe, and Africa, said the automaker. This move is expected to solidify GWM's leading position in the global market and expedite its global strategy implementation.

During the signing ceremony, the two parties expressed optimism about the potential business opportunities this partnership could bring. GWM intends to leverage Inchcape's expertise in international operations, digitalization, data capabilities, and professional management to optimize its global layout and operation model, and accelerate the promotion of GWM's intelligent new energy vehicles overseas.

GWM and Inchcape have enjoyed a positive relationship globally, which led to a rapid increase in orders in Chile and Peru in 2022. They signed an agency agreement for Hong Kong and Macau in August 2022, successfully launching the Ora Good Cat in these regions in February and June 2023, respectively.

The new partnership is primarily driven by the immense potential of the Indonesian market, one of the largest automotive markets in Southeast Asia. Both companies aim to achieve comprehensive growth in market penetration and market share through their in-depth collaboration in this market.

With its products exported to over 170 countries and regions, GWM has strategically tapped into Europe, the ASEAN, Latin America, and the GCC markets, and established over 700 sales channels globally. This strategic collaboration with Inchcape will further open international markets for GWM and accelerate its global development, solidifying its strength and influence overseas.
