SAIC-GM’s new Buick Regal hits market

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On July 24, SAIC-General Motors’ (“SAIC-GM”) Buick brand officially put the new Regal, onto the market. The refreshed model comes with two trim levels, which are priced at 159,800 yuan and 175,800 yuan, respectively.

Embracing Buick's latest "PURE Design" philosophy, the new Buick Regal boasts a distinctively stylish front fascia, highlighted by a large starry-styled grille and flanked by wing-like LED headlights, exuding an air of sophistication.

Its exterior design reflects smooth contours with an upward-sloping waistline that stretches from the front fender to the rear, complemented by chrome accents on the window frames for an added touch of modernity. To further elevate its appeal, the new Regal is equipped with sleek dual five-spoke wheels and distinctive LED taillights that mimic the design language of the front lights. The rear is enhanced with a ducktail-shaped spoiler and a dual-exhaust system, giving it a strong visual identity.

Stepping inside, the interior of the new Regal features a wraparound design, enveloped in generous soft materials, while handcrafted French-style double stitching on the doors and seats exudes a sense of luxury. In addition, the car comes equipped with the eConnect smart infotainment system, supporting Apple CarPlay and Baidu CarLife, along with the new generation OnStar full-time online assistant.

Under the hood, the 25T Chaoxiang Edition is powered by a 1.5T four-cylinder direct-injection turbocharged engine, delivering a maximum output of 124kW and peak torque of 250 N·m. Meanwhile, the 28T Zongxiang Edition is equipped with a 2.0T variable-cylinder turbocharged engine, generating an impressive 174kW of power and a peak torque of 350 N·m. All trims in the lineup are paired with a 9-speed HYDRA-MATIC intelligent transmission for smooth and efficient driving.
