Chery Explore 06 kicks off presale, starting at 129,900 yuan

Beijing (Gasgoo)- On August 10, Chery Auto officially kicked off presale of its latest model, the Explore 06 SUV. Coming with both two-wheel-drive and two four-wheel-drive variants, the new model is now globally available with a presale price range of 129,900 yuan to 145,900 yuan.

As Chery Auto's inaugural lightweight off-road SUV, the Explore 06 emerges as an independent addition to the automaker’s signature Arrizo and Tiggo series. Geared towards the aspirations of the youth, this strategic model doesn't merely underscore affordability but reimagines the quintessence of a rugged-looking SUV.

The Explore 06 boasts an all-scenario intelligent control four-wheel-drive system that exhibits instantaneous responsiveness, engaging within a mere 0.1 seconds upon detecting slip. The IPB intelligent line control brake system can emulate an electronic locking differential, tactically engaging brakes based on terrains for amplified off-road prowess. Amplifying this off-road experience is the rear axle, capable of generating a formidable peak torque of 3000N·m. With a versatile array of seven driving modes, including economy, standard, sport, sand, mud, snow, and off-road, the Explore 06 accommodates an impressive 19 diverse driving scenarios.

The Explore 06 boasts Chery’s Kunpeng 1.6TGDI engine, yielding a robust 145 kW of peak power and 290N·m of peak torque. A swift 0-100 km/h acceleration in 8 seconds marks its prowess, all while achieving an impressively thrifty 7.48L/100km fuel consumption (WLTC) in the four-wheel-drive variant. Meanwhile, the two-wheel-drive variant achieves an equally commendable 6.98L/100km of fuel consumption.
