New VOYAH FREE carrying Baidu Apollo’s intelligent driving package hits market

Beijing (Gasgoo)- On August 19, Dongfeng Motor’s premium new energy vehicle brand VOYAH saw the newly refreshed VOYAH FREE model officially hit the market, pricing at 266,900 yuan.

The new VOYAH FREE introduces new exterior and interior designs, updated powertrain options, and advanced intelligent driving features. Positioned as a large smart five-seater SUV, it comes equipped with the Baidu Apollo Highway Driving Pro system, providing users with state-of-the-art assistance in navigation and driving. 

The model features a standard all-wheel-drive system and air suspension. Its powertrain is powered by a 1.5-liter deep Miller cycle range extender, achieving an impressive comprehensive range of 1,201 km and a range of 210 km on battery power alone. This marks the model's comprehensive upgrade since its initial launch.

Notably, the VOYAH FREE offers a single variant, the VOYAH FREE Extended Range Intelligent Driving Edition, eliminating the hassle of multiple choices for customers and showcasing VOYAH's innovative approach.

An essential enhancement of the VOYAH FREE is the optional Baidu Apollo Highway Driving Pro package, priced at 25,000 yuan. Customers who purchase the package simultaneously with the vehicle before December 31 can opt for a discounted price of 10,000 yuan, meanwhile, those who choose not to purchase the package can enjoy a four-month free trial, followed by a monthly subscription fee of 600 yuan or an annual subscription fee of 6,000 yuan.

The Baidu Apollo Highway Driving Pro, offering users integrated driving and parking assistance, as well as advanced autonomous driving experiences. With features like NOA (Navigate on Autopilot) and human-machine cooperative maps, the system ensures safety through more than 60 million kilometers of testing.

In highway scenarios, the VOYAH FREE's Highway Driving Pro provides efficient lane changes, automatic recognition of ramps, large vehicle avoidance, and the world's first intelligent service area assistance function. The success rate of autonomous lane changes exceeds 99%, with fewer than 1 human intervention per 100 kilometers, while ramp success rates surpass 95%, said Baidu. 

In congested urban areas, the vehicle's adaptive cruise control enables automatic acceleration and deceleration, intelligent following, and lane changes after signaling. By preemptively sensing road conditions, the system helps the vehicle choose the optimal route in real-time.

Parking features include comprehensive intelligent parking capabilities such as efficient automatic parking in all orientations, one-key remote parking, memory parking, and remote summoning. These functionalities address common parking challenges such as difficulty finding parking spots and inconvenient parking maneuvers.
