AVATR 12’s mass-produced vehicle rolls off line

On October 11, AVATR, the premium new energy vehicle maker backed by Changan Automobile, Huawei, and CATL, saw the first mass-produced units of its second production model, the AVATR 12 electric sedan, rolled off the production line. The AVATR 12 is installed with a tailor-made h-shaped battery provided by CATL.

Banpu invests in SVOLT Energy's Thai subsidiary

SVOLT Energy's subsidiary, SVOLT Energy Technology (Thailand) Co., Ltd., on Tuesday entered into a strategic cooperation agreement with Banpu NEXT, a subsidiary of the international energy giant Banpu. Banpu NEXT is set to acquire a 40% stake in SVOLT (Thailand). According to the agreement, the two companies will collaborate extensively in various areas, including the development, production, and sales of automotive power batteries, 2/3-wheeler batteries, energy storage, and recycling. 

Porsche recalls 2,570 imported Taycan vehicles in China

Porsche (China) has filed a recall plan with China’s State Administration for Market Regulation, effective from October 16, 2023. The recall includes 2,570 imported Taycan series vehicles manufactured between September 22, 2022, and August 3, 2023. Some vehicles within this recall range may have insufficient sealant between the high-voltage battery frame and the battery cover, potentially allowing liquid to enter the high-voltage battery, leading to decreased insulation resistance and an increased risk of thermal runaway in the high-voltage battery, posing a safety hazard.
