Changan Automobile’s Zhu Huarong assumes chairman of AVATR Technology

Beijing (Gasgoo)- AVATR Technology, the premium new energy vehicle company jointly backed by Changan Automobile, Huawei, and CATL, announced on December 12 that Changan Automobile's Party Secretary and Chairman, Zhu Huarong, assumes the role of Chairman at AVATR Technology.

Simultaneously, Tan Benhong steps down as Chairman and CEO of AVATR Technology to serve as Changan Automobile's Deputy Party Secretary.

Previously, Zhu Huarong expressed at an AVATR press conference, "Changan Automobile will fully support AVATR whenever it's needed, providing funds, talent, and technology!" 

Tan Benhong, during his tenure, spearheaded AVATR's brand establishment and served as the founding CEO. Under his leadership and the empowerment of the CHN cooperation model, the company experienced rapid growth, establishing a clear strategic positioning for high-end branding and successfully launching the AVATR 11 and AVATR 12 models.

Moreover, in this recent appointment, Changan Automobile's Vice President, Wang Xiaofei, will assist the AVATR Technology's Chairman in corporate operations and major project advancements. With this new management team, AVATR Technology aims to accelerate its strides toward a high-end brand.
