Tesla China cuts prices across entire lineup, Model Y’s price hitting new low
Beijing (Gasgoo)- Tesla China's official website revealed on April 21 that prices for all its models have been reduced by at least 14,000 yuan.

The starting price for the Model 3 has dropped from 245,900 yuan to 231,900 yuan, just 2,000 yuan above its historical lowest price of 229,900 yuan set on January 6, 2023, when Tesla significantly slashed prices for the Model 3 and the Model Y.
Meanwhile, the starting price for the Model Y has decreased from 263,900 yuan to 249,900 yuan, setting a new historical low. Sales of the Model Y at this price (263,900 yuan) have soared, with monthly sales exceeding 50,000 units for several months, peaking at 60,000 units per month. In 2023, cumulative sales of the Model Y reached 456,892 units in China. However, in the first quarter of this year, the China-made Model Y’s deliveries totaled 100,366 units, representing a 6.04% year-on-year increase, but with a slower growth rate.
Additionally, the starting price for the Model X has dropped from 748,900 yuan to 724,900 yuan, while the Model S now starts at 684,900 yuan, down from 698,900 yuan. These two models have undergone multiple price reductions, with previous decreases exceeding 50,000 yuan each.
