According to Lei Jun, the Xiaomi SU7 sedan received 88,063 orders in its first month on the market, with 7,058 units delivered in April. He emphasized that Xiaomi’s strong execution and engineering capabilities were evident in the SU7’s over-15,000 deliveries within two months. To meet the higher-than-expected demand, Xiaomi EV’s factory will operate on a double-shift schedule starting in June, aiming for 10,000-unit deliveries in June and a minimum of 100,000-unit deliveries by the end of 2024, with a stretch annual goal of 120,000 units.

During his speech, Lei Jun highlighted that smart electric vehicles fundamentally combine automotive, electric, and intelligent technologies. He noted that while the industry has spent the past decade solving the electric aspect, the current focus is on intelligence. Lei Jun expressed confidence that Xiaomi, with its extensive experience in smart technology, is well-positioned to excel in this complex field.

As of now, Xiaomi EV’s intelligent driving system boasts an active using rate of over 83%, with a total driving distance of 3.6286 million kilometers. By the end of May, Xiaomi had introduced urban NOA features in ten cities.
