The notice also introduces a preferential industrial electricity pricing policy for off-peak hours from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. between January 28 and February 6 during China's upcoming Spring Festival holiday. According to the notice, industrial enterprises will be charged reduced electricity rates during the period to encourage continuous production and consumption of electricity from renewable energy.
Hydrogen, known for its high energy density, zero emissions, and abundant availability, is widely regarded as an ideal energy resource. Currently, it is primarily applied in fuel cell vehicles. Fuel cells use hydrogen to generate electricity, offering high energy conversion efficiency and silent operation.
In 2024, several provinces across China, including Shandong, Sichuan, Shaanxi, and Jilin, have implemented or explored toll exemption policies for hydrogen-powered vehicles.
Notably, in February 2024, Shandong authorities announced a two-year toll exemption for hydrogen-powered vehicles equipped with ETC devices, effective March 1, 2024, to promote inter-regional operations of those vehicles.
