Joyson Electronics secures zone controller supply deal for over one million NEVs

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Ningbo Joyson Electronic Corp. (Joyson Electronics) recently announced it has secured its first mass-production order for a zone controller project.

According to the plan, the company will supply zone controllers for over one million vehicles under a China's prominent self-owned new energy vehicle (NEV) brand, with volume production to commence in 2025.

Zone controllers manage various actuators and sensors within specific areas of the vehicle, including air conditioning, lighting, central locking, airbags, electric seats, and electric windows. They also process data and images, and transfer information with the central computing unit, thus simplifying the electronic and electrical architecture and improving computational resource efficiency.

In recent years, Joyson Electronics has focused on developing intelligent solutions for vehicle body domain controllers. Leveraging its expertise in R&D and mass production, the company has launched the nZone series of zone controllers. The product features modular and scalable designs, catering to diverse customer requirements and adaptable to various vehicle platforms.
