Chery Automobile's spare parts warehouse in Middle East starts operation

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Chinese automaker Chery Automobile, in collaboration with JINGDONG Logistics (JDL), recently opened its new spare parts warehouse in the Middle East, according to a post JDL issued on February 10 via its WeChat account.

The spare parts warehouse stocks tens of thousands of automotive component types, ranging from small parts like nuts and bolts to complex large-size items such as engines and transmissions. The facility supports repair and maintenance needs for various vehicle models across Chery Holding’s five brands including Chery, OMODA, JAECOO, EXEED, and JETOUR, ensuring timely and accurate spare parts supply.

Upon receiving shipments via sea and air freight, JDL is responsible for customs clearance and transporting containers to the warehouse. JDL then conducts quality inspections for all incoming goods and stores them in designated locations based on their SKU numbers, size, function, and turnover days. To ensure efficient and accurate storage, the warehouse is divided into five main areas: inbound, outbound, high-bay storage, mezzanine shelves, and bulk storage. Multiple areas employ intelligent inventory management technologies, including barcode scanning and automated management, to enhance supply chain efficiency and reduce costs.

Leveraging an advanced logistics management system and optimized warehouse design, the warehouse has seen its processing efficiency significantly improved, with stock preparation completed within 2 to 4 hours, thus providing a rapid and efficient service experience for Chery's clients.
