From January to September, the group's wholly-owned brands sold a total of 2.044 million vehicles — a 29.2% rise from a year earlier — accounting for 64% of SAIC's total sales, up 4.3 percentage points year-on-year.
SAIC MOTOR Passenger Vehicle (SAIC MOTOR PV) led the surge among self-owned marques, posting September sales of 93,703 units, up 72.36% year-on-year. Its domestic sales soared by 245.3% over a year earlier, marking the subsidiary's strongest monthly performance in recent years.

A series of new product launches acted as key catalysts for SAIC's self-owned brands. The all-new IM LS6, priced between 197,900 yuan and 269,900 yuan, quickly gained traction in the competitive 200,000-yuan SUV segment. Equipped with a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system and long-range capability, the model secured over 10,000-unit orders within 27 minutes of launch, propelling IM Motors' September sales to over 11,000 units.
Another highlight was the debut of the SAIC Shangjie brand, jointly developed by SAIC Motor and Huawei. Its first model, the SAIC Shangjie H5, garnered more than 100,000-unit pre-orders since presales began on August 25, and within an hour of its official launch on September 23, confirmed orders had already surpassed 10,000 units.
SAIC Motor's monthly new energy vehicle (NEV) sales also hit a record high in September, totaling 189,498 units — a 46.54% year-on-year hike. For the first nine months of 2025, its cumulative NEV sales reached 1,082,826 units, up 44.76% compared with the same period last year.
Within this segment, SAIC MOTOR PV sold around 41,000 NEVs in September, an impressive 324.5% year-on-year surge, led by robust demand for the all-new MG4, which surpassed 10,000 units of monthly deliveries.
