SemiDrive, ZongmuTech join hands for intelligent driving application

Beijing (Gasgoo)- China’s automotive SoC developer SemiDrive, has partnered with an autonomous driving solution provider ZongmuTech, with a shared goal of accelerating intelligent mobility applications for automakers.

The partners will cooperate in the ADAS and autonomous driving fields, building a “core chip hardware platform + intelligent driving comprehensive solution”.

Prior to the partnership announcement, the two companies’ R&D teams were already in touch and negotiating cooperation details. Currently, SemiDrive and ZongmuTech are actively pushing the application of the fully automated valet parking project forward. The two parties are also developing a designated 360° viewing system application solution for long range. 

ZongmuTech is one of China's leading autonomous driving and ADAS developers, providing a full-stack industry chain across algorithms, sensors, system design, and mass-production.

The founder and CEO of ZongmuTech, Tang Rui, said that SemiDrive’s chips could be easily integrated with ZongmuTech’s comprehensive business layout across L1-L4 levels of autonomous projects. It has formed production cooperation with almost all Chinese major automakers, including FAW Group, Changan Auto, and BAIC Group.  

Building on SemiDrive’s V9 series autonomous driving chips, ZongmuTech will be able to create a stronger autonomous driving solution, said the president of SemiDrive, Zhang Qiang.
