GAC Capital invests in autonomous driving chip startup EVAS Intelligence

Beijing (Gasgoo)- China’s autonomous driving chip startup, EVAS Intelligence, has completed its angel investment round worth roughly RMB200 million, the company announced on February 28th.

The round was led by CTC Capital, and Sunic Capital. Other investors of the round include GAC Capital, Kington Capital, and Volcanics Venture. The funds will help EVAS Intelligence establish R&D centers in Guangzhou, Shanghai, Beijing, Chengdu, Nanjing, and Tokyo, in an effort to be a global-oriented autonomous driving chip company.

According to China’s corporate database, Qichacha, the startup was registered on January 4th, 2022, merely two months old. Despite its seniority, the company’s team has an average of fifteen years of experience in the SoC field, with comprehensive product engineering and business abilities.

Liu Hui, founder and CEO of the company, holds over twenty years of experience in the semiconductor field. He once served as a senior executive in multiple renowned enterprises, including STMicroelectronics, Fujitsu Semiconductor, Cadence, and Socionext. Liu Hui is an experienced veteran in the automotive and computing chip market.

With his team, Liu Hui once successfully developed and delivered multiple production-ready super-large scale advanced processing chips dedicated to the automotive, communications, and computing fields.

Moreover, other company members were initially from world-leading tech companies, such as HUAWEI’s Hisilicon, Ambarella, Baidu, and Bosch.
