Positioning service provider Sixents lands RMB620 million in Series B

Beijing (Gasgoo)- NavInfo-incubated precise positioning service provider Sixents has completed its Series B investment round, raising RMB620 million ($98.24 million), the company announced on February 28th.

According to Sixents, the funds will be put towards the R&D of its mainstay business, high-precision positioning technology, accelerating its commercialization under more scenarios.

As one of the earlier developers in the domestic high-precision positioning service field, Sixents’ technology and the business prospect are well-acknowledged among investors. In the early stages of the company, Sixents has received investments from Tencent, China Telecom, and the China Internet Investment Fund.

The company has built an independent ground-based augmentation network, a high-precision location cloud service platform, VRS key technologies, and high-precision user terminal positioning algorithms. The technologies allow Sixents to provide customizable service for multiple mainstream hardware providers, offering users accurate and reliable location information.

Sixents’ technologies have been deployed to various industries, including intelligent driving, ride-sharing, and agriculture, offering high-precision positioning solutions for V2X and vehicle monitors.

Notably, Sixents has developed a location service solution for intelligent driving, namely, “Monitor”. Monitor can transmit location information, process coordinate data, and perform location information output, ensuring a safe, reliable and timely operation of intelligent driving systems.

Currently, Sixents has partnered with several well-known companies in each’s respective fields, including Didi’s shared-bike service and autonomous driving street cleaning vehicle developer, Autowise.ai, and China’s autonomous driving truck developer, Inceptio Technology.
