Chinese LiDAR maker LSLiDAR bags hundreds of millions of yuan in Series D financing

Beijing (Gasgoo)- Shenzhen-based LiDAR maker LSLiDAR (Leishen Intelligent System Co., Ltd.) recently secured hundreds of millions of yuan in its D-round funding.

The funding was co-led by Jinan Tongxin Future Investment and Chongqing Southern Fund, recognizing LSLiDAR's advanced technology, innovative and practical industry applications, and its leading position in the sector.

The fundings raised in the round will be directed towards furthering the development of domestic LiDAR technology and product replacements, R&D of 3D SLAM autonomous forklift technology and applications, and the construction of an automated factory for 1550nm optical fiber LiDAR and a 3D SLAM autonomous forklift base. 

LSLiDAR has already established wholly-owned subsidiaries in Shandong and Chongqing, with preparations for the construction of automated factories and autonomous system bases. The Jinan, Shandong facility spans 12,000 square meters, while the Chongqing production base covers 5,000 square meters. These facilities will focus on producing automotive-grade 1550nm TOF optical fiber LiDAR and 3D SLAM autonomous forklifts, aiming to lead the industry transformation with a low-cost, efficient, high-quality automated production model, empowering industry innovation, and maintaining a leading position in the competitive market.

Over eight years, LSLiDAR has developed seven major LiDAR product platforms, three algorithms, controllers, and numerous all-scenario solutions covering ten industrial circles. The company has constructed an all-encompassing business ecosystem, driving industry upgrades across various sectors.
