AI chip developer Axera launches new brand for intelligent driving development

Beijing (Gasgoo)- Axera Semiconductor (Ningbo) Co., Ltd. (Axera) debuted its automotive brand, “Aixin Yuansu” (translating to “Axera Speed”), targeting the intelligent driving domain on November 15.

Positioning itself as a Tier 2 supplier, Axera’s new automotive arm aligns with a long-term goal of providing sustained value to the automotive industry. It offers a complete range of solutions for automotive front-view integrated systems, domain controllers for driving and parking, CMS, DMS/OMS, boasting an efficient and user-friendly toolchain, diverse software development platforms, and application-oriented reference designs to meet diverse customer needs. Currently, its related chip products are in mass production and already implemented in vehicles.

Founded in May 2019, Axera Semiconductor (Ningbo) Co., Ltd., focuses on pioneering AI perception and edge computing chips globally. Over the past four years, Axera has successfully developed and mass-produced four generations of AI chips for edge devices, catering to the burgeoning markets of smart cities, intelligent driving, robotics, AR/VR, among others.

At the event, Axera's Automotive Division President, Gong Huimin, unveiled the fully deployed layout in the automotive domain. The company has achieved mass production with products like the M55H and high-speed driving/parking integrated M76H chips, covering a comprehensive product line with L2-L4 capabilities. The showcased intelligent driving solutions based on these chips, such as CMS electronic mirrors, combined driver monitoring systems, intelligent front-view systems, and driving assistance/automated parking systems, have been validated by multiple automakers, scheduled for mass deployment in 2023 and significant application scaling in 2024, supporting the realization of L2/L3 intelligent driving across multiple vehicle models.
