This unveiling included the province's premier demonstration routes for passenger and freight autonomous driving applications, marking the formal commencement of Gansu's autonomous driving demonstration.
Since 2021, the three departments in Gansu have collaboratively propelled road tests for connected autonomous vehicles. They identified three roads totaling 13 kilometers as the province's initial intelligent connected vehicle testing and demonstration routes, issuing two testing licenses. Currently, Gansu has accumulated 5,923 kilometers in testing distance over 228 hours.
Gansu's plans encompass three major demonstration application scenarios for autonomous driving, including passenger transport, freight transport in the Lanzhou New Area, and specialized vehicles such as unmanned patrol, street cleaning, and vending vehicles in the Gansu Vocational and Technical College of Communications’ premises.
