Unmanned logistics solution developer SENIOR closes Series B funding round

Beijing (Gasgoo)- SENIOR, a global all-scenario unmanned logistics solution provider, has recently concluded its Series B funding round, which raised hundreds of millions of yuan, according to the company’s announcement on January 2.

The fresh financing round, led jointly by Leaguer Capital and a fund managed by Zhejiang Provincial Financial Holdings, marks the inaugural investment in the autonomous driving sector for 2024 and stands as SENIOR's sixth funding round since its inception, the company remarked.

Amid a return to rationalized investments, capital focus has intensified on enterprises boasting mature products and scalable delivery capabilities, a trend conspicuously evident in the autonomous driving sector. SENIOR notably secured strategic investments from NWS Holdings Limited in June 2023. The subsequent successive capital infusions over six rounds underscore capital markets' favor towards SENIOR.

In 2023, SENIOR introduced its scenario-based unmanned logistics business domain, encompassing ports, bulk cargo distribution centers, logistics parks, and intra-terminal shuttles. While consolidating its dominance in core port scenarios, the company has accelerated the productization of closed and semi-open logistics transport scenarios.

Since its establishment in 2020, SENIOR's fleet of unmanned transport vehicles has been deployed successively in ports along China's coasts and inland rivers. Having validated its products in ports with high levels of informatization and robust automation, SENIOR swiftly progressed into the replication phase for large-scaled unmanned logistics deployment. 

Over six months of initiating logistics scenario deployment, SENIOR has successfully conducted testing operations for dry bulk cargo, miscellaneous cargo, and bundled cargo such as iron ore, coal, grains, steel coils, and pulp packages. 

By the end of 2023, SENIOR had deployed an accumulated fleet of 220 unmanned transport vehicles across its entire logistics scenario business sector, securing commercial orders from eight ports.
