The approval covers all open autonomous driving testing roads in the city. With this expansion, AutoX's RoboTaxi without safety officers now operates in its fifth city, after Shenzhen, Shanghai, Beijing in China, and the Silicon Valley in the U.S.

In the future, AutoX plans to intensify testing efforts around the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, connecting Shenzhen and Guangzhou to establish the country's largest RoboTaxi network. This strategic move aims to solidify the foundation for the large-scale commercialization of Level 4 fully unmanned autonomous driving.

As one of the first recipients of autonomous driving test licenses, AutoX initiated its autonomous driving journey in Guangdong province several years ago.

In December 2018, AutoX became the first company in Guangdong to officially obtain a road test license for public roads. In June 2019, as Guangzhou started issuing the first batch of autonomous driving road test licenses, AutoX became one of the inaugural licensees. In 2020, AutoX officially established its R&D center in Guangzhou, focusing on the development of hardware and software for Level 4 autonomous driving solutions. Simultaneously, the Guangzhou RoboTaxi testing and operational center was inaugurated.

Before receiving approval for remote unmanned testing in Guangzhou, AutoX had already accumulated extensive experience with fully unmanned testing and commercialization globally, covering over 2,000+ square kilometers of autonomous driving operation areas, including 300+ square kilometers of completely unmanned operation zones. AutoX is well-prepared to connect Shenzhen and Guangzhou, further expanding its future Level 4 completely unmanned commercial operations.
