Ji Yue rolls out China’s first OCC perception model onto Ji Yue 01

Beijing (Gasgoo)- On February 23, Ji Yue, the automotive robot manufacturer jointly supported by Geely and Baidu, officially rolled out its V1.3.1 over-the-air (OTA) update. This comprehensive upgrade encompasses intelligent driving assistance, charging and range optimization, SIMO voice, multimedia entertainment, and more. Notably, it introduces China's first pure visual Occupancy Network (OCC) perception model.

The automaker’s Ji Yue 01 model stands as China's first intelligent vehicle to implement a "pure vision" intelligent driving solution in mass production. 

The highlight of this OTA update is the revolutionary enhancement in perception recognition capabilities brought by the OCC. It can finely depict obstacles in 3D with centimeter-level precision, rivaling or even surpassing LiDAR. Moreover, OCC's velocity recognition accuracy for moving obstacles reaches within a 0.1 meters per second margin of error, significantly improving the identification of various barriers like fences, guardrails, traffic cones, and construction barricades.

Furthermore, the V1.3.1 software update introduces a new steering image assistance feature that projects real-time images of the rear side when turning signals are activated, reducing blind spots and enhancing safety. Additionally, a new switch for automatic parking inside the Ji Yue 01 vehicle has been added, enabling users to manually activate or deactivate the automatic parking function. Coupled with external voice commands, it emphasizes seamless parking experiences in all scenarios. Lastly, the software introduces automatic heating and defogging for cameras, triggered by internal and external temperature and humidity conditions, ensuring uninterrupted smart driving functionalities even in extreme weather conditions.
