Seyond’s LiDAR solutions integrated into NVIDIA’s DriveWorks, Omniverse platforms

Beijing (Gasgoo)- On March 18, 2024, Seyond, a global provider of image-grade LiDAR solutions, announced its official collaboration with NVIDIA. This partnership will integrate Seyond's high-performance LiDAR solutions into NVIDIA's DriveWorks and Omniverse platforms.

By combining Seyond's LiDAR technology and extensive experience in large-scale applications with NVIDIA's outstanding automotive development solutions, Seyond aims to revolutionize the design, development, and testing methods for LiDAR deployment onto autonomous vehicles. 

As part of this partnership, NVIDIA's GPU hardware will collaborate with Seyond's high-performance LiDAR to enable rapid and accurate processing of point cloud data, enhancing the capabilities of autonomous driving.

NVIDIA's DriveWorks platform serves as the foundation for software development and deployment in autonomous vehicles. Now, NVIDIA will utilize Seyond's LiDAR as one of the ground truth sensors in its autonomous driving development system. With this latest integration, developers can leverage the powerful computing capabilities of the DriveWorks platform to efficiently develop autonomous driving systems, accelerating the integration of Seyond's high-performance LiDAR into vehicles.

Seyond's high-performance LiDAR offers image-grade resolution and ultra-long detection distances, providing precise and reliable detection for various applications, including autonomous driving. Its high-performance primary sensor, Falcon, boasts a detection range of up to 500 meters, capturing 1,500 lines per second, and delivering real-time three-dimensional environmental information with accurate depth data. Since 2022, it has been a standard feature in nine models, including the NIO ET7 and NIO ET5.
