Marelli allies with Hesai Technology to integrate ATX LiDAR into headlights

Beijing (Gasgoo)- On April 24, mobility solutions provider Marelli announced a partnership with the automotive LiDAR maker Hesai Technology, aimed at integrating Marelli's innovative headlight design with Hesai's next-generation LiDAR technology.

This innovative design seamlessly integrates Hesai's latest ATX LiDAR into Marelli's high-end headlight solutions, offering outstanding environment perception capabilities. This integration enhances the safety of intelligent driving while reducing costs, all without compromising vehicle appearance or aerodynamic performance, making it highly competitive in today's cost-conscious market.

The ATX is a compact, wide-angle, long-range LiDAR designed specifically for mass-produced vehicles. Compared to Hesai’s AT128 LiDAR, the ATX has reduced in volume by nearly 60%, making it easier to integrate with vehicles’ headlights.

Additionally, Marelli's latest headlight design offers two customized options tailored to both mainstream and luxury vehicle models, meeting diverse customer needs. Furthermore, this new headlight design not only protects the LiDAR but also facilitates its maintenance, ensuring optimal performance in various weather conditions when supporting intelligent driving functions.
