Shanghai inaugurates Technology Innovation Center of Integrated Perception and Intelligent Decision

Beijing (Gasgoo)- Recently, the Shanghai Technology Innovation Center of Integrated Perception and Intelligent Decision (Innovation Center) was officially inaugurated. This establishment aims to foster a multi-sensor, cross-technology collaborative ecosystem, boosting China's intelligent industry innovation.

The Science & Technology Commission of Shanghai has spearheaded efforts to deepen the reform of Shanghai's scientific and technological systems, advancing towards becoming a globally influential innovation hub. Under its guidance, the Innovation Center has been under construction since 2021. The center focuses on overcoming key technical bottlenecks in perception and decision-making, establishing a collaborative, market-oriented mechanism that fosters industrial demonstration.

The Innovation Center has invited renowned experts across the world to build a think tank for integrated perception and intelligent decision-making technologies. Through top-level planning, academic exchange, product definition, and ecosystem creation, the center promotes in-depth research and broad application of such technologies. The academic committee includes industry leaders from SAIC Motor, Group, esteemed scholars from Fudan University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Tongji University, and the University of Science and Technology of China, as well as experts from SAE International. This robust team provides strong support and assurance for the center's development.

The Innovation Center has achieved significant technological advancements and accelerated the transformation of scientific results. Focusing on holographic perception and intelligent collaboration, it continuously develops new-generation perception systems, emphasizing multi-modal, all-weather, low-cost, and mass-producible products. In decision-making, it develops intelligent systems based on autonomous planning, adaptive matching, understanding, and processing, with some achieving end-to-end local implementation. These innovations have been applied in intelligent driving, smart transportation, and smart city solutions.

Going forward, the center will establish a sustainable operation system through industry-academia collaboration and upstream-downstream ecosystem partnerships. It will work closely with universities to cultivate talent with innovative and practical skills and collaborate with chip, sensor, and automaker sectors to drive intelligent transformation and achieve high-quality, sustainable industrial development.
