This milestone makes FAW Group the only Chinese automaker to obtain such a permit for passenger vehicles in the BJHAD, highlighting Hongqi's exceptional technical prowess in autonomous driving.
The third-generation Hongqi L4 Robotaxi has completed over 100,000 kilometers of autonomous road test within the BJHAD. The test routes cover more than 90% of the designated area's roads. The vehicle’s autonomous driving system features multiple redundant safety measures, including perception, computation, execution, and remote cloud driving, ensuring comprehensive user safety.
Previously, no other Chinese automaker had received a permit for unmanned testing in the BJHAD. This pioneering achievement means Hongqi's Robotaxi can provide safe and reliable mobility services on public roads in the pilot zone without human intervention, laying a solid foundation for the future exploration of diversified commercial models by Hongqi.
