WeRide and CTM first established their partnership in June 2024, successfully progressing from technology validation to commercialization. In November 2024, WeRide's autonomous cleaning vehicles, the S6 and the S1, were launched for operations in key areas of Singapore, including Marina Bay Coast and the Esplanade. These vehicles marked the country's first commercial autonomous sanitation project.

This new strategic partnership will elevate their collaboration to new heights. The two companies plan to develop sustainable business models, iterate on technology, and expand their global deployment, focusing on scalable, profitable autonomous sanitation vehicle projects.

In addition to sanitation, WeRide's unmanned Robobus began operating Singapore's first Level-4 autonomous minibus route in Sentosa in June 2024.
