August, 2025 auto sales ranking by all brands

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Sales of BYD amounted to 342,838 units, down 3.61% year on year, the first on August, 2025 auto sales ranking by all brands, according to the August sales data of the China Passenger Car Association. Sales of VW amounted to 159,586 units, up 1.14% year on year, ranking second on the list while its YTD sales totaled 1,208,243 units. August sales of Chery reached 158,792 units, increasing 20.00% year on year and ranking third on the list while its YTD sales were 1,049,481 units. (Note: Data here refers to sales of cars, SUVs and MPVs made and sold in China.)
