Changan Automobile's C385 NEV officially named SL03
Beijing (Gasgoo)- Changan Automobile’s Shenlan brand unveiled the official name of its first new energy vehicle (once codenamed C385) , the SL03, along with Shenlan’s exclusive logo.

The SL03 is built on top of the EPA1 platform under the CHN architecture co-developed by Changan Automobile, HUAWEI, and CATL. The vehicle is positioned as a mid-sized sedan, measuring 4820mm long, 1890mm wide, 1480mm tall, with a wheelbase of 2900mm.

It is previously disclosed that the SL03 will come with three power options, including battery-electric, range-extended, and hydrogen-fuel-cell powered. Changan Automobile will preliminarily introduce the battery-electric and range-extended version to the market.
The pure-electric SL03 will be equipped with two electric motors with maximum power of 160kW and 190kW. The vehicle will adopt CATL’s lithium iron phosphate battery as well as Changan Automobile’s ternary lithium battery, realizing a maximum CLTC range of over 700km.
On the other hand, the range-extended SL03 features a 1.5L engine and an electromotor, offering at least 1,200km of combined CLTC range. Relying on electricity alone, the range-extended S03 can travel over 200km.
As Changan Automobile previously acknowledged, the SL03 will make its formal debut in June 2022 and start delivery in the third quarter this year.
