HOZON Auto, Infineon Technologies team up on integrated BMS solution
Shanghai (Gasgoo)- HOZON Auto, the Chinese startup owning the new energy vehicle (“NEV”) brand NETA, and the global chip supplier Infineon Technologies earlier this month announced their cooperation on an integrated BMS (battery management system) solution.
According
to a press release from the NEV maker, the system-level BMS solution
co-developed by the two companies is composed of HOZON Auto’s
in-house-developed “Tiangong” batteries, as well as Infineon
Technologies' AURIX™ microcontrollers, 12-channel AFE, power supply management chips, and
other products. It complies with the ASIL D functional safety
requirements.

Besides, the BMS solution is able to offer more precise battery management tactics with higher integration and greater stability, so as to further improve the power and economy performances for NEV electric control system. While lifting EV ranges and enhancing battery safety, the solution provides users with a better battery management experience across battery's life cycle, also helps them largely shorten development period and trim purchase costs.
HOZON Auto saw its monthly deliveries hit another record high of 13,157 units in June 2022, skyrocketing 156.1% year on year, while also jumping 19.5% month on month. For the first half of the year, its deliveries added up to 63,131 units, surging 199.1% compared to the same span of last year and ranking 2nd among Chinese NEV startups.
