Haima Automobile’s R&D of 4th-generation FCV model is underway
Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Haima Automobile is developing its fourth-generation fuel cell vehicle (“FCV”) model, the Chinese automaker recently revealed on a Q/A platform as a response to an investor's question.
The new-generation FCV will adopt a fuel cell stack with a higher power, an electric drive system with a greater efficiency, a safer hydrogen storage technology, and a catalyst with longer service life to improve the general performance and reliability, the automaker said.

Haima Automobile's third-generation FCV model, the Haima 7X-H, was showcased at the ongoing China International Consumer Products Expo 2022. It is regarded as a key part of the automaker's ambition to build a zero-carbon industrial chain that embraces solar photovoltaic power generation, hydrogen making by electrolysis of water, high-pressure hydrogen fueling, as well as operation of FCVs.
The Haima 7X-H is reportedly China's first 70MPa fuel-cell MPV and has a combined range of 800km. It is applicable to such scenarios as public transportation and car rental service to tourists. A complete hydrogen-filling session only takes 3 to 5 minutes for the vehicle.
The automaker said the Haima 7X-H would be put into pilot operation in 2023.
