BYD’s Yangwang U8 comes with 7 exterior color options

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On May 24, BYD's upscale brand, Yangwang, unveiled the color options for its first production model, the Yangwang U8. The new vehicle offers seven different colors, including Dragonstone Green (High Gloss), Dragonstone Green (Matte), Sandstone Green (High Gloss), Sandstone Green (Matte), Moonlight Silver, Fluorite White, and Obsidian Black.

Positioned as a new energy hardcore off-road SUV, the Yangwang U8 has commenced pre-sales at the Auto Shanghai 2023, with a starting price of 1.098 million yuan, and is expected to hit the market in the third quarter. The vehicle is equipped with the e4 power system, featuring a four-wheel-drive setup. The maximum power output of a single motor ranges from 220 to 240 kW, with a peak torque of 320 to 420 N·m, enabling impressive acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 3 seconds.

The Yangwang U8 measures 5,319mm long, 2,050mm wide, 1,930mm tall, with a wheelbase of 3,050mm. It is equipped with a total of 32 driving assistance sensors, including three laser radars. The luxury version boasts 38 high-precision sensors, which contain three laser radars, five millimeter-wave radars, 12 cameras, and 12 ultrasonic sensors.

In terms of the interior, the design concept of the new model revolves around a "Stellar Halo" cockpit, skillfully utilizing multiple curves to create a strong sense of embrace. The abundant leather wrapping adds a touch of luxury. Additionally, the new vehicle features two 23.6-inch screens for the instrumental cluster and the passenger-side entertainment display. The rear seats are equipped with two 12.8-inch screens, supporting seamless interconnection across all five screens indoors.

The Yangwang U8 also comes with a Hi-End sound system with 22 speakers. It boasts a massive panoramic sunroof with an embedded suspended starry texture, creating a serene atmosphere resembling the expanse of the universe, complemented by ambient lighting.
