JETOUR unveils ‘Shanhai’ new energy vehicle range, introduces Shanhai L9 model

Beijing (Gasgoo)- Chery’s JETOUR brand held the launch event for its fire new new energy vehicle range "Shanhai", alongside the debut of the Shanhai L9 on November 14.

The Shanhai lineup by JETOUR covers scenarios ranging from hybrid family travel to off-road adventures and will progressively introduce products like urban SUV series, hardcore off-road SUV series, and pickup series.

At the event, the JETOUR Shanhai L9 officially hit the market, presenting four variants - Air Light, Air, Pro, and Max, with prices ranging from 166,900 yuan to 188,900 yuan.

Positioned as the first plug-in hybrid electric SUV under the JETOUR Shanhai series, the L9 is a large seven-seater SUV measuring 4,862mm in length, 1,925mm in width, 1,784mm in height, and boasting a wheelbase of 2,850mm. Its array of features includes 41 storage spaces, a 61-inch panoramic sunroof, and a 15.6-inch narrow-framed central screen, epitomizing the L9's spaciousness. 

Regarding range and fuel consumption, the Shanhai L9 offers practical solutions. Its maximum comprehensive range reaches 1,100 km, with a pure-electric range of 108 km (CLTC-rated), consuming a mere 5.3L per 100 km.

Highlighting hybrid technology, intelligent experiences, and safety, the Shanhai L9 employs Chery's 5th generation 1.5TGDI hybrid engine boasting a thermal efficiency of 44.5%. It utilizes a P2+P3 dual-motor drive structure, delivering a maximum power of 199kW in pure electric mode and 314kW in HEV mode.

In terms of smart features, the Shanhai L9 incorporates Qualcomm's third-generation 8-core 8155 chip, supports L2 automatic assisted driving systems, and integrates a 6.6KW external power supply for outdoor camping equipment like refrigerators and cookers.

In addition, JETOUR plans to launch eight new hybrid products within the Shanhai series in the next two years, featuring models like the Shanhai L6, T-L, T-1 (Traveler), P-3, T-2, L9, and L7. With a 100 billion yuan investment in new energy R&D over the next five years, JETOUR intends to introduce a 2.0T hybrid engine based on the Travel + ecosystem platform.
