Sunwoda EVB’s Yiwu base rolls off first cell, battery pack
Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On December 9, the first battery cell and battery pack produced at Sunwoda Electric Vehicle Battery Co., Ltd. ("Sunwoda EVB")'s power battery manufacturing base in Yiwu city rolled off the production line, marking the official commencement of rapid development and operation for Sunwoda's Yiwu facility.

With a total investment of 21.3 billion yuan, the Yiwu base is a collaborative effort between Sunwoda EVB and the Yiwu municipal government, envisioned as a lighthouse factory. The project aims to produce 5 billion watt-hours of power batteries annually. Remarkably, the entire process, from factory planning, construction, and decoration to equipment installation, R&D, and production, has been completed in just 12 months, achieving every milestone as scheduled.
Upon full-scale production, the project is expected to generate an annual output value of approximately 35 billion yuan and create over 6,000 jobs, fostering a strategic alliance within the manufacturing sector and the broader industrial chain.
Sunwoda EVB has strategically established ten major production bases worldwide, including facilities in Huizhou of Guangdong province, Nanjing of Jiangsu province, Nanchang of Jiangxi province, Zaozhuang of Shandong province, Deyang of Sichuan province, Yichang of Hubei province, Yiwu of Zhejiang province, Maoming of Guangdong province, as well as Hungary and Morocco. Additionally, the company has also set up numerous technology and customer centers abroad.
